Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role is crucial in managing and analyzing our cost structures to ensure accurate financial reporting, optimal pricing strategies, and informed decision-making across departments. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical skills, manufacturing or medical device industry experience, and a collaborative mindset. Key Responsibilities Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, documentation, and records. Conduct margin analysis and inventory valuation for monthly close processes. Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing detailed cost data. Partner with operations, procurement, and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities. Monitor inventory transactions for accuracy and identify variances. Assist in internal and external audits related to cost accounting and inventory. Develop and improve cost allocation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CMA preferred). 3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or medical device environment. Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite a plus). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, mission-driven company.
