Property Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is experienced in managing property accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing team and requires full in-office attendance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform light reconciliations and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accrual accounting and general ledger maintenance.
• Utilize Yardi software to track and manage property accounting operations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the continuity of financial workflows during staff transitions.
• Address and resolve discrepancies in financial records efficiently.
• Support the preparation of financial reports as needed.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Provide assistance with any ad hoc accounting projects or tasks as directed by management. Requirements
• Proven experience in property accounting, including AP and AR functions.
• Proficiency in Yardi software is required.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and general ledger processes.
• Ability to perform month-end close activities independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
• Availability to work on-site in Scottsdale, Arizona.
