Job Description

Are you an accounting professional ready to bring your technical depth and operational skills to a role with true autonomy? Bon Voyage Travel (BVT), a part of the arrivia family of brands, is expanding our accounting team in Tucson! We are seeking a Staff Accountant II who has mastered the foundational ledger, values precision, and wants to drive impact across our financial operations. Unlike a traditional, siloed corporate accounting role, this position offers full-cycle exposure. You will play a vital part in our strategic monthly close while actively supporting key Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. What You'll Do As our Staff Accountant II, you will report directly to the Controller and manage essential day-to-day financial operations. This role requires high initiative and individual contribution.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Own the
Ledger & Close:
Prepare and post monthly journal entries, make account adjustments, and drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Full-Cycle Collaboration:
Support critical Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions as needed to maintain seamless operational cash flow.
Deep-Dive Reconciliations:
Perform comprehensive bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Data & Audit Analysis:
Investigate account discrepancies, prepare financial reports for management review, and assist external auditors by providing clear workpapers and documentation.
Process Improvement:
Actively recommend process enhancements to increase speed, efficiency, and accuracy across our accounting systems.
What We're Looking For Professional Experience:
3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Core Skills:
Strong knowledge of GAAP, excellent attention to detail, and top-tier organizational and problem-solving skills.
Technical Proficiency:
High comfort level with personal computers, MS Office (especially advanced Excel), and ERP/accounting systems.

An independent worker who exercises sound judgment, handles multiple deadlines under pressure, and knows exactly when to proactively escalate issues to leadership.
