With offices in Tempe, AZ and Anaheim, CA we are in the middle of our strongest growth period in company history and are looking to add an experienced, construction-savvy professional to our accounting team. The Opportunity We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join us at our Tempe headquarters. This is a fully on-site role responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of a multi-state electrical contracting business, with an emphasis on job-cost accounting, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and revenue recognition for long-term construction contracts. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical accounting foundation, deep hands-on experience, and a working knowledge of construction accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Own the day-to-day general ledger accounting and drive the month-end and year-end close Manage job-cost accounting, including project setup, billing, budget tracking, change orders, committed costs, and cost-to-complete analysis Prepare and review work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, including percentage-of-completion calculations and over/under billings Apply revenue recognition standards under 
FASB ASC 606 / ASC 340-40
 to long-term construction contracts Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support monthly financial statement preparation; present monthly financials to ownership. Partner with project managers and operations leadership to ensure accurate cost coding, accruals, and profitability reporting Interface with audit/tax firms related to year-end accounting issues, tax planning and compliance matters Support sales tax compliance across AZ and CA, prevailing wage reporting, and certified payroll where applicable Assist with cash flow forecasting, AR/AP oversight, and treasury functions Identify opportunities to streamline close cycles, improve reporting accuracy, and better leverage Acumatica and its integrated tools Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role Proficient in financial statement preparation, GL management, and full-cycle month-end close Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong attention to detail, ownership mentality, and ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment Authorized to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications Experience in the construction industry, ideally with an electrical, mechanical, or specialty trade contractor Familiarity with WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion accounting CPA license or active candidate What We Offer Competitive base salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Paid time off and paid holidays A stable, growth-oriented company with 45+ years of industry leadership A high-impact seat on the finance team during a record growth period, with direct visibility to ownership How to Apply Submit your resume along with a brief note describing your Acumatica and construction accounting experience to Delta Wye Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
