Full Job Description Position Overview:
Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting for U.S. operations. This position is responsible for managing financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The Senior Accountant collaborates cross-functionally to gather key financial data, provide insights, and support audits and reporting requirements in a fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & General Accounting Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including financial statements and summaries. Prepare and post general ledger (GL) entries during month-end close. Review GL activity for accuracy and appropriateness. Manage intercompany (ICO) accruals. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a regular basis. Accounts & Operations Support Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. Process and manage 1099 reporting requirements. Maintain and monitor inventory accounting, including assisting with year-end inventory counts and related GL adjustments. Partner with Operations to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Utilize Bill of Materials (BOM) knowledge to support inventory and cost tracking. Assist with payroll-related accounting activities as needed. Banking & Cash Management Create and process wire transfers. Support ACH transactions and assist clerical staff with banking activities. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis Assist the Controller in preparing budgets and financial forecasts. Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions. Tax & Compliance Prepare and manage sales tax filings. Assist with business tax filings and research tax-related questions as needed. Fixed Assets Ensure fixed assets are properly recorded and depreciated based on service dates. Review depreciation entries for accuracy. Month-End & Project Support Prepare journal entries for multiple locations. Perform assigned accounting duties across locations as needed. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a Senior Accountant or similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables). Experience with inventory accounting, BOMs, and manufacturing environments is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $101,000.00 per year
