JOB SUMMARY
The Senior General Ledger & Funding Accountant is responsible for managing daily cash operations, supporting general ledger activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role plays a key part in monitoring cash positions, executing funding transactions, and supporting the monthly close process. The position partners cross-functionally with internal departments, including Tax, Corporate Planning, and operations, to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. The responsibility includes assisting in monthly closing of journal entries, audit support, and government surveys.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Management & Funding Prepares and monitors daily cash position reports to ensure adequate liquidity Executes wire payments and bank transfers accurately and on time Administers and maintains corporate bank accounts Supports cash forecasting and funding activities General Ledger, Fixed Assets & Accounts Receivable Performs account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations Prepares and posts journal entries in support of monthly close Analyzes account balances and investigate variances Supports fixed asset accounting activities Supports internal and external audits, including preparation of required documentation Assists with accounts receivable processes including billing, cash application, and issue resolution Licensing & Compliance Handles business license renewals and tax payments Assists with government surveys and reporting requirements Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for distributors and manufacturers Other Responsibilities Participates in cross-functional projects and ad hoc assignments Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Executive Manager, Accounting
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required CPA or CPA candidate preferred Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced environment Experience with SAP strongly preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and cash management processes Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines High attention to detail and accuracy
PHYSICAL STANDARDS
This is a primarily sedentary office role requiring regular use of a computer. Occasional lifting of light materials (typically under 5 lbs.) may be required. Pay Scale The pay scale for this position is between $80,361 and $100,451. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
