Job Description:
Accountant - Staff (Mid-Level) The Staff Accountant / GL Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This position is responsible for timely and accurate reporting of transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards. The role also supports sales operations, contributes to process improvements, and collaborates cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements. Manage financial reporting deliverables for leadership teams. Support month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Assist with SOX testing, internal and external audits, and maintain compliance with GAAP and company policies. Process and reconcile intercompany charges and invoices. Participate in physical inventory counts and related inventory accounting tasks. Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Sales Operations, to support operational and financial alignment. Identify and support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and control. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience with strong understanding of financial and operational systems. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills across other Microsoft applications. Solid experience with General Ledger accounting and account reconciliations. Experience with intercompany billing and reconciliations. Physical inventory count experience. Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills. Excellent time management abilities and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Prior experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 or AXAPTA. Experience in sales accounting or revenue related accounting processes.
