Compensation $26 per hour Job Summary The Finance/Accounting Intern will assist the Accounting/Finance team in carrying out various accounting programs and procedures as part of the company's internship program. Main Responsibilities Assist with month end and quarterly closings, financial reporting, and budgeting Assist with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliations Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations Perform data entry into accounting systems such as JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, and OnBase Run & Build Financial Reports Participate in various Special Projects as directed by the Controllers, Payroll Manager or CFO Assist the Accounting department with other general accounting functions Perform other duties as assigned Education Must be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program, including accounting, finance, or business administration Skills Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred A basic understanding of Accounting principles Excellent Communication skills The ability to work well with all levels of the organization A demeanor for making continuous improvements of department processes Physical Requirements Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need arise Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need arise Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday Ability to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
