Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting for the organization in Burbank, California. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial data, assisting with close activities, and providing analysis that supports sound business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a detail-focused approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead monthly close activities by preparing entries, reviewing balances, and ensuring timely completion of reconciliations and reporting.
  • Examine general ledger accounts regularly to identify variances, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile bank activity and intercompany balances to confirm transactions are properly recorded and supported.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and related schedules in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts by analyzing historical results, operational trends, and financial performance.
  • Perform financial and operational reviews to evaluate controls, support compliance, and recommend improvements where needed.
  • Develop project-based analyses and management reports that help leaders track results and make informed decisions.
  • Take on additional accounting assignments as business needs evolve and departmental priorities shift. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Three to five years of progressive accounting experience in a business environment.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
  • Background in sales tax, intercompany accounting, and bank reconciliation activities.
  • Fixed asset accounting experience is required; exposure to international accounting is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel functions and formulas.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, solve problems effectively, and manage multiple deadlines with strong attention to detail.
