Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly close activities by preparing entries, reviewing balances, and ensuring timely completion of reconciliations and reporting.
- Examine general ledger accounts regularly to identify variances, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconcile bank activity and intercompany balances to confirm transactions are properly recorded and supported.
- Prepare and review financial statements and related schedules in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts by analyzing historical results, operational trends, and financial performance.
- Perform financial and operational reviews to evaluate controls, support compliance, and recommend improvements where needed.
- Develop project-based analyses and management reports that help leaders track results and make informed decisions.
- Take on additional accounting assignments as business needs evolve and departmental priorities shift. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Three to five years of progressive accounting experience in a business environment.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
- Background in sales tax, intercompany accounting, and bank reconciliation activities.
- Fixed asset accounting experience is required; exposure to international accounting is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel functions and formulas.
- Ability to communicate clearly, solve problems effectively, and manage multiple deadlines with strong attention to detail.
