Junior Accountant

Our client in Hayward is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an entry-level accounting professional who is eager to build hands-on experience in general ledger support, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. The Junior Accountant will work closely with the accounting team to support daily financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with preparation of journal entries and account reconciliationsSupport month-end and year-end close processesReview and maintain general ledger activityHelp process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsReconcile bank and credit card statementsPrepare and update financial spreadsheets and reportsMaintain accurate accounting records and documentationAssist with audits and other ad hoc accounting projectsEnsure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
