Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced freight forwarding professional to join our dynamic team. In this position you will be responsible for branch AR/AP as well as operations specific to freight forwarding, including invoicing, cost analysis, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in the logistics industry, 2+ years of accounting experience within logistics/NVOCC environment, demonstrated knowledge of compliance in accounting standards, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Review accounts and financial records to discover discrepancies. Perform routine audits to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Create and perform analysis on GL accounts, budget, general expenses, and forecast reports. Complete month-end, quarter end and year-end duties. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable with freight forwarders, carriers, and vendors. Supervise A/R collection and manage A/P payment. Collaborate with operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Experience /
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and major/minor in Accounting or Finance a plus. Minimum 3 years freight forwarding industry experience with 2 + years of accounting/bookkeeping experience specifically within logistics/NVOCC environment. Experiences with SAP or similar accounting systems preferred. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experienced with pivot tables and advanced functions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, and Word. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Bilingual in English and Mandarin required. Knowledge of freight forwarding and import process as it relates to all parties involved;
NVOCC, CUSTOMS BROKER, WAREHOUSE & DOMESTIC TRANSPORTATION
preferred.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
