This position is responsible for supporting the accounting department and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks. A bachelor's degree and major in accounting, 5+ years of accounting experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and PC skills is required. This is a full-time position, with excellent benefits including 401K. [

Accountant Duties:

• Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports.
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Prepare various reports and work papers every quarter for external auditors.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Substantiate and document financial transactions by auditing documents and entering account information.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Check accuracy of figures, calculations and posting pertaining to transactions recorded by branches
• Prepare and file government reports (sales & used tax, property tax, unclaimed property, corporate income tax)
• Guide accounting clerks by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Initiate and manage financial and accounting software used by the company.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Accountant Skills:

• Proficient PC skills (Microsoft OS, Word, Excel, etc)
• Must have 5+ years of accounting work experience
• Must have a bachelor's degree and major in accounting
