Full Job Description Senior Project Accountant Job Type:
Contract - About 90 days, may be extended
Schedule:
40 hours per week

Costa Mesa About the Job We are looking for a Senior Project Accountant to help manage money for special programs. You will make sure the money is used correctly and follows all rules. What You Will Do Check bills and invoices to make sure they are correct. Work with vendors to fix any problems with bills. Send invoices on time so the program can get paid. Help make yearly and multi-year budgets. Track spending and make sure programs stay within budget. Prepare reports about spending, money, and cash flow. Answer questions from program staff and managers about money. Help prepare for audits and provide needed records. Help train staff on money rules and reports. Help with charter school budgets and required payments when needed. Help with other special projects as assigned. What You Need Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 5 or more years of accounting experience. At least 2 years of experience with project or grant money. Experience working with schools or government agencies is a plus. Strong Excel skills. Experience using accounting or financial software. Good attention to detail. Good communication skills. Must be able to keep private information confidential. #MS-OCACCT
