Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, including month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring deep accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and experience working in dynamic environments, preferably within the entertainment industry. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute the month-end close process , ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and review journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented Assist with closing the books and generating financial statements Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and controls Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration , or related field 10+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong expertise in month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations Proven ability to manage and close accounting periods efficiently High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in the entertainment industry strongly preferred Preferred Skills CPA or equivalent certification Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech start-up or similar environment Ability to demonstrate sound judgment , even in ambiguous situations Strong aptitude for information technology and accounting systems Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects , meet deadlines, and follow through Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Culver City, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
