MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Five or more years of advanced accounting experience in areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking and cash management, reconciliations, account analysis, monthly financial statements, audits, and special projects as assigned. Minimum of three years of direct supervision of accounting staff and daily, monthly responsibilities, annual performance reviews and acts as lead in the Controller's absence. Responsible for the overseeing and processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, account allocations, month end close, journal entries, and account analysis. Responsible for daily bank balance reports, bank deposits, deposit logs and monthly bank reconciliations. Responsible for monthly and annual cost reports for San Diego County. Responsible for monthly reporting of LA County DMH reporting, cost analysis, reconciliation of units and payments. Responsible for the development and review of complex financial and account reporting requirements, including preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Provides analyses of financial data needed in fiscal and budgetary planning. Responsible for business and property tax returns and business licenses. Responsible for accounting and maintaining the fixed asset system including additions and disposals; maintaining asset and depreciation reports and reconciliations. Has an integral role in year-end audit. Responsible for maintaining accounting policies and procedures. Responsible for design and delivery of various specialized projects. Responsible for direct supervision of the daily and monthly tasks of the accounting staff. Responsible for input to the annual performance reviews for direct staff.
