Compensation:
$30•35/hr DOE A well-established nonprofit organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to support a temporary vacancy. This role will focus on core accounting functions, financial reporting, and grant compliance within a mission-driven environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting practices Experience with AP, AR, and general ledger accounting Background in grant or contract budget monitoring, preferably in a government-funded nonprofit Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including vlookup, sumif, data manipulation) Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge preferred Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, analyze transactions, and reconcile general ledger accounts Support monthly and annual close processes and ensure timely financial reporting Monitor contract and grant budgets, track expenditures and revenue, and identify variances Ensure all financial transactions comply with GAAP and funder regulations Assist with accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management as needed Prepare revenue and expense projections (monthly, quarterly, annually) All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
