Job Description

LHH is partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding investment-focused organization in East County San Diego to identify a Fund Accountant. This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly visible role owning investor-side accounting and helping build scalable processes within a growing capital platform. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial data while partnering closely with leadership on insights and improvements. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a growing, hands-on environment and wants to make a meaningful impact rather than operate in a highly siloed role. Key Responsibilities Own the accounting function for investment entities, including monthly close and reconciliations Calculate and manage investor distributions on a recurring basis Maintain and track capital accounts, contributions, and investor activity Develop and maintain allocation models and distribution structures Prepare investor reporting, including performance metrics and financial summaries Partner cross-functionally to improve processes, reporting, and system efficiency Support external reporting and tax deliverables in collaboration with third-party providers Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within fund, partnership, or investment accounting Strong Excel skills and ability to manage complex financial data Experience with capital accounts, distributions, or allocation structures High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential financial data Exposure to investment platforms or financial systems is highly preferred The Ideal Candidate Thrives in a growing, evolving environment versus a highly structured corporate setting Enjoys taking initiative and building processes from the ground up Comfortable working closely with leadership and contributing ideas Interested in long-term growth and expanding their scope over time Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Vacation, Sick, and Holiday pay Retirement plan Bonus eligible position
Pay Details:
