Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Payroll Processor to support a maternity leave coverage assignment with a growing organization in El Cajon. This role will work closely with the Payroll and Compensation team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for approximately 200 employees, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who can work independently, exercise sound judgment, and quickly learn established processes while supporting critical payroll functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees. Support payroll activities for commissioned employees and assist with related reporting. Review and audit timecards, including missed punches, overtime, premium pay, and coding accuracy. Process payroll adjustments, corrections, garnishments, employee updates, and off-cycle payments. Generate payroll reports, perform reconciliations, and maintain payroll logs and documentation. Audit payroll data to ensure compliance, accuracy, and completion of payroll checklists. Utilize Excel to validate payroll information and support reporting requirements. Collaborate with payroll leadership to resolve payroll-related issues and maintain efficient payroll operations. Requirements:
3+ years of payroll processing experience. Experience processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. Ability to independently identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and adjustments. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting, audits, and data validation. Experience working with payroll systems; UKG experience is strongly preferred. California payroll experience preferred. Commission payroll experience is a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information. Must be able to work onsite in El Cajon, CA. Ability to successfully pass any required background screening and drug testing requirements, if applicable. Benefits:
