Opportunity:
A growing and well-established manufacturing company in Fresno is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This position will play a key role in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and process improvements. The company offers a stable environment, strong leadership, and long-term growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuations, and production variances Maintain accurate inventory and fixed asset records Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP Monitor standard costs and partner with operations on cost analysis Reconcile inventory, WIP, and production-related accounts Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Support internal and external audits Identify and implement process improvements within accounting operations
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Manufacturing accounting experience required Strong understanding of GAAP Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and reconciliations Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis ERP experience preferred (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Standard costing and variance analysis Inventory controls and cycle counts Financial reporting and budgeting Continuous improvement initiatives Multi-entity or multi-location accounting experience Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Controller and works closely with Operations, Production, and Leadership teams.
