Full-Time Position Overview We are a distributor of electronic and industrial supplies for manufacturing and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) seeking an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper with deep expertise in NetSuite ERP. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational visibility, and ensuring strong financial controls across purchasing, inventory, and sales cycles. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of distribution accounting, including inventory management, vendor terms (e.g., Net 30/45/60), multi-line orders, and high-volume transactions. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management Perform full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations Maintain accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts, COGS, and landed costs Ensure proper revenue recognition for wholesale/distribution transactions Maintain audit-ready financial records and support external audits as needed Accounts Payable (AP) Process vendor bills, verify pricing accuracy, and match to purchase orders and receipts Manage vendor payment schedules in accordance with negotiated terms (Net 30/45/60) Monitor early payment discounts and optimize cash flow Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies Accounts Receivable (AR) Generate and send invoices, apply payments, and follow up on outstanding balances Monitor aging reports and proactively manage collections Work closely with sales team on customer credit limits and account status Inventory & Cost Accounting Track inventory valuation, adjustments, and cycle counts within NetSuite Analyze inventory discrepancies and coordinate with operations/warehouse teams Ensure accurate cost tracking, including freight, duties, and landed costs Support margin analysis by product line, vendor, and customer segment NetSuite Administration & Optimization Serve as the NetSuite super user for accounting and finance functions Maintain chart of accounts, workflows, saved searches, and reports Improve efficiency through automation and process optimization within NetSuite Partner with management to enhance reporting dashboards and KPIs Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Maintain strong internal controls around cash, inventory, and purchasing Assist with tax filings (sales tax, use tax, and other compliance requirements) Qualifications 3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience in distribution, manufacturing, or MRO environment Advanced proficiency in NetSuite ERP (required) Strong knowledge of: Inventory accounting and reconciliation, Cost of goods sold (COGS), Purchase order and sales order workflows Solid understanding of GAAP principles High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations) Preferred Experience in electronic components or industrial supply distribution Familiarity with high-SKU, high-transaction environments Experience with multi-location inventory or warehouse operations Prior involvement in ERP implementations or system improvements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Key Competencies Accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and sales Process-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Ownership mentality and ability to work independently
