CA JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
L&J Farms/Jackpot Harvesting inc, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Crop Accountant to manage all financial aspects related to crop production. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise combined with an understanding of agricultural operations. II. QUALIFICATIONS-
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (agriculture experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with team
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Track and allocate crop production costs (seed, fertilizer, chemicals, labor, irrigation) B. Monitor inventory levels and crop valuations C. Generate annual financial reports D. Collaborate with farm managers to improve cost efficiency and financial performance E. Assist with audits and financial reviews as needed F. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet and bank reconciliation G. Assist and review data input of A/P for cost accounting H. Audit crop specific cost centers and generate crop cost reports I. All other duties as assigned
IV. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, experience working with famous preferred
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending or reaching
  • Ability to lift or move items up to 10-15 pounds when needed
  • Visual acuity sufficient for computer and document review
