Senior Accountant

Job Summary A growing manufacturing organization in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting experience. This contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys partnering with operations, purchasing, and production teams to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support accurate financial decision-making. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, general ledger accuracy, inventory analysis, and manufacturing cost reporting. Candidates who enjoy process improvement, operational accounting, and working closely with cross-functional teams will be well positioned for success. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Support inventory accounting, cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and review of inventory transactions.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory variances, margins, and standard costing activity.
• Partner with operations, purchasing, and production teams to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting accuracy.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, audit support, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range:

  $85,000 to $100,000 per year.
