MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
Graduation from high school or satisfactory equivalent, supplemented by college level coursework in accounting or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Three years of general or accounting experience, including some statistical or financial record keeping. M unicipal experience is highly desirable.

THE POSITION
The Senior Accounting Technician will serve as a key member of the Finance Department by performing complex technical accounting work and supporting the City's daily financial operations. The Senior Accounting Technician position will serve the Eastvale community with a "can do" attitude and "get it done" approach to work in a fast-paced environment while working closely with a talented, energetic, and highly engaged team of City talent.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Manage developer deposits, reconciliations, and journal entries. Provide accounts payable support. Coordinate storm water and miscellaneous accounts receivable billing. Administer unclaimed property compliance activities.

This individual possesses strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze, reconcile, and manage complex data with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. The successful candidate communicates clearly and professionally with both internal staff and external customers, providing responsive, solution-oriented support and maintaining positive working relationships. They demonstrate sound judgment, take ownership of their work, and are highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. In addition, the ideal candidate is proactive and forward-thinking, consistently seeking opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen the effectiveness of the City's financial operations while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing Finance team.
