San Diego, CA Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role will support various areas of the accounting function, including month-end close, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives within a fast paced technology environment. The position reports to Accounting leadership and offers strong exposure across the organization.
Responsibilities :
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting schedules and reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including balance sheet and P&L analysis
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances as needed
  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
  • Assist with revenue, accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other general accounting activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and SOX requirements
  • Support internal and external audit requests and prepare audit support documentation
  • Assist with process improvements, automation efforts, and system enhancements
  • Collaborate cross functionally with finance and operational teams on ad hoc projects and initiatives
  • Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned
Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
  • 3-5+ years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting experience (Big 4 or mid-tier firm) and/or experience within a public technology company preferred
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or Workday
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
