Staff Accountant The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles (LA Catholics) - 3.5 La Verne, CA Job Details 14 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Writing skills ADP Accounts payable management HR systems Vendor communication Data interpretation Payroll record maintenance Full Job Description The right candidate will perform accounts payable and disbursements on a weekly basis, and payroll processing via ADP, on a bi-weekly basis. Payroll management will include updating salary rates in the ADP system, and ensure that payroll deductions are accurate. Other accounting functions will include journal entries, reconciling and reviewing of credit card transactions, and requests for reimbursements. This individual must be personable, professional, and team-oriented. Strong time management, attention to detail, organization and problem solving are key skills for success in this role. This position will work in the school's administration office. Punctuality and regular attendance are required. This position is Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Requirements Required Qualifications:
At least three years of experience in accounts payable, and payroll through ADP. Ability to accurately process and analyze numerical data Strong financial aptitude and attention to detail Results-orientated with proven ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; communicates effectively with client, management, employees, customers, and vendors High level of motivation, integrity, and commitment to service and quality of work Preferred qualification - degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance. Pre-employment tests might be administered to the applicant
Physical Demands:
Vision abilities required for computer work, reading, writing, typing, data entry and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to push, pull, lift and /or carry up to 10 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is an active open office. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
