SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
to join a dynamic and growing organization who will be responsible for advanced general ledgers and critical accounting responsibilities. The Senior Accountant will assist with day-to-day questions/requests, assist with external audit and examinations and regulatory filings.
Essential Job Functions:
Lead the month-end closing process by balancing and providing detailed support for general ledger accounts that includes timely clearing of items. Provides month and quarter end reports for financial reporting as assigned and assists with the preparation of quarterly regulatory reporting. Performs necessary functions to reconcile the Federal Reserve Bank, the Federal Home Loan Bank, Accounts Payable and other accounts as needed. Reconciles daily general ledger accounts of a complex nature that involve money movement for the organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
MS Office and Teams. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate work, able to prioritize work in a high paced environment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-5 years' experience in a financial institution required (Credit Union preferred). Prior experience with Symatar, CONCUR and other accounting software.
