An ideal candidate would be a self-starter, willing to learn, and eager to be responsible for undertaking on many different types of tasks in a professional environment. Specifically, the job requirements are as follows:
- Possess bookkeeping proficiency
- Possess experience utilizing QuickBooks Online accounting software
- Ability to work with basic accounting concepts, such as, accounts receivable and cash receipts cycle, accounts payable and cash disbursement cycle, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing and posting journal entries, and creating financial statements
- Be able to demonstrate working knowledge of US GAAP
- Possess significant experience working in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Strong work ethic demonstrated by past work experience
- Strong time management skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Additional job duties are as follows:
- Undertake bookkeeping and accounting consulting functions for various clients
- Prepare compiled financial statements for clients
- Prepare filings for various state regulatory agencies including payroll taxes, sales taxes, and other general registration forms
