Job Description
A Day in the
Life:
In the position of Senior Accountant - North America, you will prepare financial statements and reports, participate in the monthly and quarterly closing process and assist in the preparation of files relied upon for the SEC filings. Develops spreadsheet reports, verifies information, prepares journal entries, and reconciles accounts and balance sheets.The Impact You'll Make:
Participate in various aspects of the monthly, quarterly closing process including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations. Provide analytical support to business teams. Perform monthly and quarterly detailed analysis of financial statements to explain variances against prior years, budgets, etc. Manage oversight of cost center and internal orders structure/database within accounting software. Ensure compliance in the usage of cost centers, internal orders and business areas as needed. Provide guidance and lead training for staff accountant(s) and others within the company as needed. Conduct financial reviews, risk analysis support, assist with year-end audits and other ad hoc reporting.Who You Are:
Bachelor's Degree in the field of Accounting, Finance, or similar field of study preferred. 3-5 years of experience in accounting. Prefer 1-2 years of public accounting experience. 1-3 years of experience in reading and analyzing financial reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
