$40-$65/hour DOEPosition OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our client's growing finance team in Santa Cruz, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience with NetSuite (required). This role will play a key part in month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliationsPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsLead month-end and year-end close processesMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsReview and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAPAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisSupport internal and external audit requestsIdentify and implement accounting process improvements and efficienciesCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, AP/AR, and leadership teamsMaintain accurate documentation and financial records within NetSuiteQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred5+ years of progressive accounting experience requiredStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principlesNetSuite experience requiredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills preferredStrong attention to detail, organization, and analytical abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience supporting audits and financial complianceBackground in manufacturing, technology, nonprofit, or multi-entity environments is a plusCPA or CPA-track preferred but not required
