Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations in Oakland, California. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing key journal entries, and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassificationsOwn components of the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completionMaintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including investigating and resolving variancesManage fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and rollforward schedulesTrack and amortize prepaid expenses and ensure proper cutoffPartner cross-functionally to gather data and support accurate financial reportingAssist in preparation of financial statements and supporting schedulesSupport external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requestsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
