Sr Financial Accounting Associate Pivotal Talent Search - 5.0 Oakland, CA Job Details Full-time $140,000 - $150,000 a year 18 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Bachelor's degree Task prioritization Accounting and finance experience Productivity software Full Job Description We're looking for a Senior Financial Accounting Associate to play a key role in day-to-day financial operations and help drive smart decision-making across the organization. In this role, you'll help manage core accounting and treasury activities, maintain accurate records, and support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for leadership and program teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee treasury management and account monitoring to ensure accuracy, completeness, and sufficient cash balances for day-to-day operations Track and manage cash and line-of-credit collateral, including scheduling and reporting Perform monthly cash reconciliations for custodian accounts Manage timely processing and approvals of vendor invoices across operating and custodian accounts, including monthly deficit/surplus reporting Maintain and update prepayment and other finance databases to support reporting and forecasting Manage accounts receivable and collections
Administer Ramp:
set up new users, enter purchase orders, code credit card and expense transactions, and ensure all vendor bills are captured and scheduled for payment Serve as the primary financial partner to program managers: Build and maintain program-level financial reports and dashboards Develop, monitor, and maintain program budgets Collect and update program and portfolio-level financial models Contribute to updating budgeting models and assist with external financial reporting as needed Support other finance and accounting projects as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting Strong understanding of GAAP and how finance supports business operations Experience in government, utilities, or the energy sector preferred Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines Able to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of deliverables Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with modern finance tools a plus #PTS
