Managed by CoralTree Hospitality, our AAA Four-Diamond resort features luxurious accommodations, award-winning dining, championship golf, a world-class spa, ski-in/ski-out access, and unforgettable guest experiences. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the resort's financial reporting while supporting daily accounting operations across multiple revenue-generating departments. Position Summary The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting through account reconciliations, month-end close activities, journal entries, balance sheet analysis, and financial reporting. This position partners closely with operational departments including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Spa, Golf, Retail, and Revenue Management to maintain strong financial controls and support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and post daily, weekly, and month-end journal entries. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts. Analyze financial statements and investigate account variances. Assist with monthly financial packages, budgeting, forecasting, and audits. Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records. Reconcile credit card settlements and cash activity. Review income audit reports and resolve discrepancies. Support accounting for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Spa, Golf, Retail, and Recreation. Assist with sales tax reporting and internal controls. Cross-train with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
Qualifications:
Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Hospitality or resort accounting experience Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) CPA or CPA candidate Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off and Holidays Employee discounts and career development opportunities
