Project Accountant (Deltek Vantage Experience Required)

Location:

•this is a 100% in the office position

Compensation:

$75,000

•$100,000 annual salary

•Salary will depend greatly on the experience and capabilities of the candidate and their previous Deltek/Vantage point proficiency. What You'll Do:

Set up projects in different formats including time and materials (T&M), lump sum, and percent completion formats Coordinate monthly project billings. Prepare and submit client invoices for professional consulting services. Track payment status and resolve discrepancies. Process customer payments Supervise financial aspects of assigned projects, including budgeting, billing, financial reporting, and expense tracking. Prepare monthly financial project status reports. Support month-end and year-end close activities Maintain, administer, and continuously improve accounting systems, workflows, reporting, and internal controls Ensure project records are accurate. Advise on budgeting for additional services with a focus on project profitability. Manage consultant-related accounts payable and its budget as part of client billing. Train new Project Managers in the draft bill process in accordance with EEC standard billing procedures. Oversee monthly accounts receivable reports, contacting clients and project staff as per collections policies. Provide Managers with necessary project-related reports.

Qualifications You'll Have:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. At least 5 years of project accounting experience in settings such as consulting, engineering, environmental, or architectural firms. Essential Deltek experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to details. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Understanding of GAAP and corporate guidelines as they apply to accounting transactions. Strong time management capabilities and ability to prioritize deadlines. Proficient business communication skills, both written and oral.
