Job Description
Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Orange, California. In this role, you will handle critical accounting functions such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to ensure the integrity of financial records.
- Reconcile balance sheets and other accounts monthly to confirm the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Generate detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes to meet reporting deadlines.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Participate in budgeting processes by compiling and analyzing financial data.
- Conduct financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor organizational expenses and recommend cost-saving strategies.
- Collaborate with teams to complete special accounting projects as assigned.
- Stay updated on accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance in all financial practices. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related roles.
- Proficiency in preparing journal entries, general ledger management, and corporate tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and sales tax compliance.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (experience with Microsoft systems is a plus).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
