In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support the organization's financial health, streamline bookkeeping processes, and provide critical insights through precise data entry and account analysis.   • Bookkeeping for small businesses using QuickBooks Desktop
  • Prepare tax returns using Lacerte
  • individuals, C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, LLC, Nonprofit
  • Prepare payroll & sales tax return
Desired Qualifications:
  • CPA or EA preferred
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Experience resolving tax notices from IRS and FTB
  • Can Work independently
  • Must have an experience with Lacerte
  • Must have an experience with QuickBooks Desktop
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Attention to detail and reliability is a must Full-time or part-time Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial records.
Reconcile accounts such as the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain balance sheet integrity. Manage payroll processing using software like ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Assist with budgeting, tax preparation, and compliance activities related to governmental or non-profit accounting standards. Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or Ceridian for efficient financial management. Support internal controls and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance efforts to safeguard organizational assets. Perform month-end closing procedures including ledger review and financial reporting. Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data. Experience Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles within corporate or governmental environments. Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and experience with public accounting is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, or similar platforms. Familiarity with payroll management systems like ADP or Paychex is required. Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and journal entries. Knowledge of tax regulations and experience preparing tax-related documentation is a plus. Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and account analysis. Strong mathematical skills with proficiency in 10-key typing and data entry accuracy. Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
