Job Description

We are looking for an experienced accounting specialist to support corporate financial reporting and maintain the accuracy of the organization's books in California. This role contributes to the close cycle, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and audit readiness while helping ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal guidelines. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, a meticulous approach to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across business functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, and supporting schedules within the general ledger environment.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, research variances, and resolve discrepancies or unusual transactions.
  • Monitor prepaid expenses, accruals, and other working capital accounts to maintain accurate account balances.
  • Evaluate financial results, explain account fluctuations, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Support the application of accounting standards and maintain alignment with internal policies and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate audit requests by assembling schedules, documentation, and responses for internal and external auditors.
  • Partner with teams across finance, tax, treasury, and operations to provide accounting guidance on business activities.
  • Recommend and assist with improvements to accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as business needs arise.
