Position OverviewWe are seeking a Staff Accountant to oversee and supervise our organization's accounting & payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate pay processing. This role will also be responsible for managing the entire company accounting process.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesPayroll :

Assist with calculating employee weekly commissions. Maintain and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions are accurate in our payroll provider, Paychex system. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes. Audit payroll records and reports Demonstrate extensive knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Stay current on law changes and HR policies. Process and maintain through Paychex all workers' compensation claims, unemployment requests, FMLA, and leaves of absence. Submit weekly payroll department reports. Accounting & Financial Oversee and review weekly accounts payable. Ensure that weekly accounts receivable are collected and reconciled. Assit with all financing questions our service technicians may have. Prepare monthly profit and loss statements for all departments and the company. Complete weekly bookkeeping in quickbooks online Track all company inventory. Monitor and record all fleet expenses.

Administrative:

Maintain excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Required Skills Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective supervisory and leadership skills. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
