We are a fast-growing, full-service restoration contractor specializing in water, fire, mold, and storm damage restoration. Our mission is to restore properties—and peace of mind—for our clients during some of their most challenging times. We're looking for a detail-oriented Accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment and can help manage the financial operations that keep our jobs and business on track.
Role Overview:
As our Accountant , you will be responsible for handling the financial functions that support our restoration projects, including job costing, invoicing, and insurance billing. You'll work closely with project managers and estimators to ensure accurate, timely, and organized financial reporting. Prior experience in restoration, construction, or insurance-related billing is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries Handle job costing and financial tracking for each restoration project Prepare client invoices, including working with insurance carriers and third-party billing platforms Monitor budgets and track expenses across multiple active jobs Reconcile bank statements and assist with monthly and year-end financial reports Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations and documentation Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and the admin team to streamline financial workflows
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience (restoration, construction, or service industry preferred) Experience with insurance billing, Xactimate, or similar platforms a plus Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with restoration software (Xactimate, DASH, CoreLogic, or similar) Knowledge of insurance claim processes and documentation Experience working with adjusters and third-party administrators CPA certification or progress toward certification (a plus)
