Job Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing complex accounting activities, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company policies. This role supports the month-end close process, financial analysis, account reconciliations, and internal controls. The Senior Accountant collaborates with cross-functional departments and assists in driving process improvements, cost analysis, and reporting to support the Company's financial health and decision-making. Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals and prepaid expenses. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Prepare balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports. Assist with audits (internal, external, and regulatory) by preparing schedules and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company financial policies. Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and variance tracking. Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in accounting workflows. Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reports for management. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (SAGE preferred) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Experience in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods preferred. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or progress toward CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required. Experience with ERP systems (SAGE/Oracle/NetSuite) preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing, distribution, or related industries strongly preferred. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Work performed primarily in an office environment. Occasional extended hours or weekends required to meet reporting deadlines or audit requirements. Pay Range $75,000-$100,000

$75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
