Job DescriptionJob Description Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant with expertise in QuickBooks and a Contador Público Certificado (CPC) license in Mexico. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional experienced in managing accounting operations across both U.S. and Mexican jurisdictions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic financial insight. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, general ledger, and bank reconciliations Maintain and optimize QuickBooks systems, including reporting, job costing, and integrations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Oversee cross-border accounting activities between U.S. and Mexico entities Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and Mexican accounting/tax regulations Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, and tax advisors in both countries Handle payroll accounting and reporting (U.S. and Mexico, if applicable) Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Assist with construction/project-based accounting (preferred) Prepare and review tax filings, including IVA, ISR, and U.S. federal/state obligations Maintain organized financial records for audits and internal controls
Qualifications Required:
Active CPC (Contador Público Certificado) license in Mexico Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required) Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience , including cross-border operations Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) Strong understanding of both U.S. and Mexican tax/accounting frameworks Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual required) Preferred Experience Construction or real estate development accounting Job costing and WIP (Work In Progress) reporting Familiarity with payroll systems in both U.S. and Mexico Experience working with international entities or foreign-owned businesses Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Performance-based bonuses Health benefits Paid time off and holidays Opportunity to work with a growing, cross-border businessSimilar jobs in San Diego, CA
