This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the firm's financial health. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various accounting software and principles, demonstrating enthusiasm for precise bookkeeping and financial reporting. This position is perfect for someone looking to apply their accounting expertise in a professional legal environment while enjoying flexible hours that fit your schedule. Duties Maintain and update the firm's general ledger using Quickbooks Online Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, to record financial activities in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to verify account balances Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed Generate detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing and account analysis, to support decision-making processes Tag reimbursable expenses to clients prior to invoicing Send out invoices monthly Run Payments Follow up with Clients and A/R Experience Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within a professional environment, preferably in legal settings Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger accounting practices Familiarity with GAAP standards and governmental accounting procedures is highly desirable Experience with budgeting, financial report writing, and account analysis is a plus Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, account analysis, and technical accounting practices Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as 10 key typing, data entry, and detailed account review efficiently This role offers an engaging environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our law firm's financial processes.
