JOB SUMMARY BBSI
is seeking an Accountant/Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee all bookkeeping functions. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company—ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing payables/receivables, reconciliations, recording payroll transactions, preparing month-end and year-end close and assisting with payroll and tax preparation for entity and 2 or more customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Financial Record Keeping:
    Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, invoices, receipts, and payments.
      Accounts Payable:
      Manage and process all outgoing payments, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections.
        Bank Reconciliation:
        Reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
        • Provides bookkeeping support for Centralized Accounts department and other is subject matter expert for QB transactions.
        Tax Preparation:
        Prepare and file sales tax returns and assist with year-end tax filings and audits.
          Financial Reporting:
          Generate and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
            Compliance:
            Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
            • Support for
            Financial Audits:
            Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
              Communication:
              Liaise with vendors, customers, and financial institutions as needed.
              • Tracks, reports and bills customer special events.
              • Verifies monthly totals of sales, sales history, and cash receipts journal. Coordinates closing with Controller.
              • Provide backup for Payroll processing in support of 18 customer companies.
              • Communicates with customers regarding their financial close review, billings and collections.
              • Performs other accounting duties as requested by the Controller.
              QUALIFICATIONS
              Skills:
                Experience:
                Minimum of 5-7 years of bookkeeping experience required, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or service industry.
                • Minimum Associates in Accounting or equivalent experience.
                • Effective communication skills, written and verbal. Communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
                • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) required.
                • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
                • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
                • Able to review, validate and replicate accounting transactions with minimal oversight.
                • Solution driven for non-standard transactions.
                • Strong organizational and time management skills.
                • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
                • Familiarity with payroll processing and inventory management is a plus.
                • Organizational skills, adherence to processes.
                • Good reasoning ability is important.
                Able to understand and utilize accounting reports and legal documents to conduct business.
                PHYSICAL DEMANDS
                Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and scanners. #
                INDSU Pay:
                $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
