Overview:
Position Overview At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), Staff Accountant II support critical financial operations—managing daily cash reconciliations, monitoring branch compliance, and helping improve procedures to minimize risk. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to process integrity, you'll contribute to the strength and reliability of our accounting team.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities Cash Management & Reconciliation Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliation process Maintain petty cash accounts Maintaining outstanding checks lists Intercompany cash transactions General Ledger & Posting Posting cash disbursements to correct GL accounts Interacting with AP and accounting team to identify GL coding Team Collaboration Assisting the accounting team as needed Miscellaneous Support our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers Other duties as assigned Qualifications Attention to detail Worked with companies ($800M+ in revenue) that have multiple locations across North America. Excellent problem solving and time management skills GL experience required Ability to manage high volume data Quick learner Ability to work in high pressure and fast paced environment Working knowledge of GAAP Bachelor's Degree, Accounting or Finance Advanced skills in MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro Experienced working with/ manipulating large data sets in Excel Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills Proficiency in data entry and management, with experience in using HCM systems like Ceridian Dayforce Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation is a plus Proficient in

Reports To Accounting Manager Compensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Base:
$38.00-$43.00 / hourly
Bonus:
10% Target Bonus Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $83,000-$104,000.
