Job DescriptionJob Description Position Overview Greystone Equities LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our small accounting and finance team. This is a strong opportunity for a mid-career accounting professional with significant growth potential , including the ability to develop into an Assistant Controller or Controller-level role over time. The role will work closely with the Controller, CFO, and CEO and will support accounting, reporting, payroll, budgeting, cash management, and financial operations across multiple affiliated entities. Experience in real estate, agriculture, investments, partnerships, or syndications is highly preferred, but we are open to strong candidates with solid accounting fundamentals and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Record and review general ledger activity across multiple entities. Assist with financial statements, internal reports, reconciliations, and closing processes. Manage AP/AR, vendor payments, reimbursements, and supporting documentation. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and variance analysis. Assist with payroll processing and related federal and California reporting. Coordinate with outside CPAs, lenders, auditors, payroll providers, and other service providers. Support accounting for real estate, agricultural operations, investment entities, and intercompany transactions. Help improve accounting systems, internal workflows, and reporting processes. Work closely with the Controller and gradually assume additional responsibilities. Qualifications 7-10 years of accounting, bookkeeping, corporate accounting, or related finance experience preferred. Experience in real estate, agriculture, investment partnerships, syndications, or family-office style accounting is highly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. Strong understanding of GL accounting, AP/AR, reconciliations, financial statements, cash flow reporting, and month-end closing. Experience with payroll and related federal and California reporting. Strong QuickBooks and Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
