Job Description

Our client, a well-established and growing organization, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Professional to support and oversee a broad range of accounting functions at its corporate headquarters in Santa Monica, California. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and contributing to ongoing financial and operational improvements across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, excellent analytical abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and leadership levels. Responsibilities Review and validate invoice coding accuracy Prepare and post journal entries Manage accruals and prepaid expense schedules Perform account reconciliations and account analysis Maintain and support the general ledger Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Complete bank reconciliations and cash-related reporting Support fixed asset accounting activities Perform inventory and cost accounting functions Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy Assist with additional accounting, financial, analytical, tax, and systems-related projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Approximately 10-15 years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus Combination of public and private accounting experience is preferred Experience with Great Plains/Dynamics GP is a strong plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels of the organization Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills Additional Information Full-time, onsite position located at the client's headquarters in Santa Monica, California Competitive compensation and benefits package available based on experience and qualifications
