Job Description

Accounting Clerk - Stockton, CA Full-Time | Temporary Contract We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting all activities within the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices, expense vouchers, and ensuring timely payments Verify proper authorization and account coding for all payments Maintain and ensure accuracy of non-invoiced receipts reports Input and maintain approved vendors and customers according to company procedures Handle accounts receivable functions including invoicing, credit memos, collections, and customer account inquiries Assist with negotiating past due accounts and responding to credit/audit information requests Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient accounting operations Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards Qualifications Previous accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience preferred Familiarity with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to follow established procedures and work independently Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work effectively in a team environment Safety-oriented mindset and willingness to follow plant safety regulations
