Robert Half Accountant Turlock, CA Apply Description Robert Half is working with a client in the food production and supply chain sector to hire an Accountant for a temporary role. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized professional who enjoys working with detailed documentation, reconciling high-volume transactional data, and partnering across multiple operational teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring experience in reconciliation, accounting support, transportation logistics, operations, or settlement processing, along with the ability to manage a fast-moving workflow with precision and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Review, process, and maintain manifests, tags, load tickets, and related records Verify documentation for completeness and accuracy before entry and reconciliation Enter, validate, and reconcile load data across accounting and ERP platforms Cross-check transportation records, manifests, and internal systems to ensure accountability Investigate discrepancies related to weights, routes, missing loads, duplicate loads, rejected loads, and other data exceptions Support settlement processing by ensuring validated and balanced records Assist with audits, reconciliation reviews, and month-end reporting support Maintain organized records to support compliance, retention, and audit readiness Partner with operations, dispatch, transportation, quality, plant teams, and accounting to resolve issues quickly Identify recurring issues and help improve processes and controls
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Experience in reconciliation, accounting support, logistics, operations, or similar administrative functions Background in manufacturing, food production, agriculture, transportation, or related industries preferred Intermediate Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets ERP experience preferred; Sage or similar systems are a plus Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and communication skills For immediate consideration contact Robert Half at 209-232-1991.
