Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to support financial operations for a manufacturing organization. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who can manage core accounting activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely financial reporting. The role will contribute across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance while partnering with internal teams to keep accounting processes running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices, verifying documentation, and preparing payments accurately and on schedule.
  • Manage accounts receivable transactions by recording incoming payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on open items when needed.
  • Maintain the general ledger by posting financial activity, reviewing account balances, and supporting the accuracy of monthly records.
  • Prepare and record journal entries with proper backup to ensure financial data is complete, organized, and audit-ready.
  • Complete bank reconciliations on a regular basis by comparing financial records to bank activity and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with period-end close tasks by organizing supporting schedules and helping deliver reliable financial information within established timelines.
  • Review accounting data for inconsistencies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions to strengthen financial accuracy.
  • Collaborate with operational and administrative teams to gather financial details, clarify transactions, and support effective accounting workflows.
