Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play an integral part in the company's month-end closing, financial reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Your work will be key to ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Participate in month-end close and consolidation process, including cash reconciliations, account analysis, and monthly account activity review. + Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger on a daily, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis as appropriate. + Ensure monthly commission reports are prepared and presented in a timely manner according to contract requirements. + Review transactions across all system accounting modules to ensure compliance with GAAP. + Prepare monthly inventory cull and DMR (Defective Material Report) reconciliation. + Recommend and implement business process improvements for greater efficiency. + Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reporting packages. + Provide input and recommendations to enhance the organization's accounting operations. + Support periodic budgeting and forecasting processes. + Assist in annual CPA review and audit activities. + Generate accurate and timely financial and operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annual). + Assist in the preparation of governmental returns and forms, including Payroll Tax, Sales Tax, Property Tax, Value Added Tax, etc. + Review and reconcile credit balances, refunds, and adjustments to ensure proper application to billing records. + Maintain and ensure the strict confidentiality of all financial records. + Coordinate and collaborate with external accounting and banking professionals during annual review processes. + Prepare daily cash reporting. + Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements Qualification Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance strongly desired. + Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). + Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience. + Prior experience with Epicor Accounting Systems preferred. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel. + Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. + Strong communication and teamwork skills.
