Duties Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks. Prepare and record journal entries with precision, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts regularly to ensure accuracy. Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to verify financial data integrity. Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and vendor communication. Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and implement corrective actions promptly. Ensure compliance with tax regulations by maintaining accurate records of tax-related transactions and supporting audit preparations. Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks. Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting. Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices. Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation processes. Ability to perform detailed account analysis and account reconciliation efficiently. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as budgeting, financial report writing, and account analysis simultaneously. Basic typing skills (10 key typing) for efficient data entry. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and external auditors on financial matters.
